Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced VDC/BIM Specialist to join their client's team in California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies and collaborate with industry professionals in a dynamic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

BIM Model Development & Coordination

  • Develop detailed Revit models from conceptual design through construction-level detailing.
  • Coordinate BIM models with architects, engineers, and trade contractors.
  • Manage design model distribution through platforms like BIM 360, ACC, and Revizto.
  • Perform clash detection and constructability reviews, resolving issues proactively.
  • Support self-performed work by modeling concrete, architectural, and MEP components.
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings, documenting agendas and action plans.

BIM Reviews

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of design models for completeness and compliance.
  • Document findings using Revizto, ACC, Procore, and other project management tools.

BIM Deliverables

  • Develop 3D models for quantity surveying, construction sequencing, and scheduling (4D simulation).
  • Generate composite drawings and equipment pad layouts for field efficiency.
  • Coordinate post-construction activities, including federated models and as-built documentation.

Administration & Documentation Management

  • Maintain access and version control in BIM 360 and Revizto.
  • Review design changes and ensure timely updates.
  • Manage storage and naming conventions for uploads.

Reality Capture

  • Integrate laser scanning data, drone footage, and 360° site captures into models.
  • Process and distribute scans for gap analysis and constructability checks.

Training & Support

  • Train internal team members on BIM/VDC tools and workflows.
  • Act as a technical resource for efficiency and collaboration improvements.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, ACC, and Revizto.
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to process laser scans and drone data.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 3-5 years of VDC/BIM experience.

Software Proficiency

  • Autodesk BIM 360 Docs or ACC
  • AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • Revit
  • Navisworks Manage
  • Revizto (Plus) or BIM Track
  • Synchro or Fuzor for 4D simulations
  • MUST Laser scanning

Additional Information

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
